Rachel Sloane Interiors is a boutique, high-end residential interior design studio in Gramercy Park specializing in layered interiors and design concepts that help clients realize their spaces’ potential. We are seeking a Fall design intern who is interested in joining a collaborative and creative environment, and looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all phases of the design process. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in interior design.  

Job Responsibilities: 

• CAD drafting of floor plans and elevations 

• Project management support, including coordinating deliveries, order tracking, updating project documentation, sourcing and procurement, gathering pricing and quotes, and attending site visits 

• Administrative tasks such as library maintenance, sample procurement and returns, office organization, and scheduling showroom visits

Qualifications must include:

• AutoCAD proficiency 

• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency

• Microsoft Suite proficiency

• Highly detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment 

• Prior experience or knowledge of interior design industry 

• Passion for interior design and an eagerness to learn 

• A sense of humor and an interest in the latest streaming shows and the best new restaurants is a plus! 

Hours: Part-time, with a minimum of two days a week and an ability to balance workload with class schedule. This is an hourly paid position at our office in Gramercy Park.
